"Cash And Carry Me Home"

Recently (or not so recently now) I won a competition held by Gem Fatale and Me and Zena, one of the prizes I received were 10 Beauty UK Salon Professional nail polishes. Of course I was spoiled for choice, they have so many beautiful shades I had to ask my sister to help me narrow it down to 10 for me!

So I tried them out for the first time last week and my favourite is already the Peach Melba. It. Is. Gorge.

These nail polishes are easy to apply and last for a long time, and they don't chip easily too which is a big plus in my book.
They've got an offer on these nail polishes as well, you get 25% off the Salon Professional Nail Polishes with the code XMAS25.
Go for it, it's such good value and you can't pass up the chance to get 25% off either.

Back From The Dead And Off The Meds

'Here's Kareenie!'
I took a break so that I could back into the routine of working again, and now I'm going fit blogging into that routine as well. I'm absolutely exhausted, Claire's has become my life and I love it. Claire's has changed a lot since my secondary school days, it's less 'pink' and more in season style, they have faux fur, feather accessories all over the store, and nail varnish of every kind and every colour.
I love being able to help customers when I'm there, they tell me they need help finding accessories for a certain outfit and I rush off in every direction to find something amazing for it. It's a really great feeling knowing that you've helped someone in some way, I love it.

I've been stocking up on Missguided's amazing leggings, they're heavy weight and so comfortable. They have them in so many different colours too, so they're great for winter weather and this seasons colours too.

Here are some pictures of some of the outfits I've worn to work.

1. Blouse - Asos, Leggings - Missguided
2. Blouse - Select, Leggings - Missguided
3. Jumper - Vintage, Leggings - Missguided
4. Blouse - Select, Leggings - Missguided
5. Blouse - Primark, Leggings - Missguided
6. Blouse - Select, Leggings - Missguided
7. Blouse - Select, Leggings - Missguided

And if you're looking for cheaper alternatives to the Topshop black glitter boots... here they are for £29.99 at the one and only Missguided. I will definitely be clicking add to basket on pay day, trust me, I'll be on it like sonic. And a little tip too for those who will be snapping up this deal, spray some hairspray on them, it stops the glitter falling off when you get them on your feet.

NAILS UPDATE!!!!

They're growing! My nails have always been a bit weak, but now they're strong like the Hulk, they have improved at the rate of Captain America, from weedy to GREAT!
I'm currently wearing Missguided's Deep Red and Missguided's Missfit Black/Gold Nail Splash. They're the best nail polishes I've ever used, long lasting, and just two coats needed. They dry quickly too, so you can jump up and do your hair not too long after as well.

HAIR UPDATE!!!!

I'm shaving the other side this week, I was going to do it last Saturday but I ended up going to a roller disco for my cousins birthday party (I only fell over once, I had a nice big bruise on my bum to remember the experience by)
I wore my green Missguided leggings, It went with the 80's disco theme. I'm definitely investing in some roller skates for the summer time.

NANDOS UPDATE!!!!

I went to Nandos on last Saturday too and stuffed my face with a nice veggie burger with pineapple and cheese. Yum yum in my tum.

X FACTOR UPDATE!!!

WHY!!??!? Are The Risk gone?? What are their fans doing? Come on! Pick up the phone and vote for the good ones guys!
Johnny's 'save me' song was beautiful, he went out on a high. Kitty's vocals were terrible all weekend. And does anyone else notice but me that she wears the same outfit EVERY SUNDAY!!
It's a nice outfit but still. Plus she's wearing the Missguided Leather Panelled Hot Pants, so I have to give her some credit.
Frankie has been chucked off now hasn't he -_- It was because of some 'golden rule' he broke. Getting on too many girls? Taking cocaine? Swearing on TV???
He's a nice guy but he just needs  to behave him self a bit more when he's in public (and stop wearing low v-necks).
I'm glad Amelia's back too, her performance was crackalackin :) Too much fake tan though.

Look forward to regular updates my homies :)

Working Girl

Blouse - Select, Leather Jacket - H&M/DIY,
Shorts - Topshop/DIY, Watch - Vintage

This week has been pretty hectic! My friend who works in Claire's in Marble Arch managed to get me an interview :D It was on Thursday and after having the interview and then the shop floor trial the job was mine! Straight away! I'm so happy and the staff are so friendly too :)
The only bad thing about working in central London is the travel cost, it's going to come to about £180 a month!! It's ludicrous I know but to me it's worth it if I get to work somewhere as great as this store. It's massive compared to all the others but it's always completely packed out. Being in London there's a lot of tourists that don't speak English, which can be difficult when you have to approach them.
I'm going to be starting next week and the first day of training is supposed to be quite gruelling so I'm trying to start going to bed earlier. Last night I was in bed by about 1:30 and tonight I'm going to get myself to bed by 12:30. It sounds ever so simple but for me it's a massive task.
I had two DIY projects that I managed to finish this week and here's the result :) I'm very happy with them. My leather jacket did take a while because it was so hard to push the studs through. The shorts took a bit longer because I needed to dip dye bleach them, then wash them, then stud them. I wanted to make them look a bit distressed too so I got out my grater and distressed the crap out of them :)
At the moment I'm stuffing my face with olive's (stinky pleasure) watching X Factor. Didn't it look like they were miming the "Hello" song at the beginning?!! Sami was completely out of time which made me a bit suspicious hmmmm *strokes beard*
My favourite of Saturday night was either Misha B or Sophie Habibis or The Risk or even Rhythmix. It wasn't a very amazing show last night, the song choices were a bit boring. What did you think? Any favourites?
ALSO who was dressed the best!? Tulisa or Kelly?? I think it was Tulisa, she looked amazing to be honest. And who looked the best out of the acts? I'm stuck between Misha and Sophie.
But what I really wish is that the stylist would stop stuffing the girl with the curly hair in Rhythmix into hareem pants!! They don't look very nice at all!!
I think that Nu Vibe and Frankie were very bad vocally but Nu Vibe were just exceptionally terrible so they deserved to go I think. What do you think? Good decision?

'Your knees'll start shaking & your fingers pop like a pinch on the neck of Mr. Spock'

Bandanna - Ebay, Top - Primark, Shorts - Select, Jacket - H&M

I've been sat at home laying around all day because I'm ill, I have the worst cough ever! With a headache too! This was my outfit for the the other night, I went to a bar and bumped into my brother!! Oh the embarrassment, it took me a bag of chips and burger sauce to get over the embarrassment of him seeing me a bit tipsy.
If you follow me on Twitter then you'll know who I loved and hated and was just disappointed in on X Factor last night. Misha was outstanding, Craig was amazing, and The Risk were off the chain to be honest. Amelia Lily was great too but just way too over styled! There were too many clashing looks! I think she should have dip dyed her hair pink and kept it long! But she did sound amazing, what do you think of her outfit?

Johnny Robinson came out on stage looking like a Turkey wrapped in tin foil, That coat was ghastly! Frankie Cocozza looked okay - ish, but they went way over the top with the guy liner. They were trying to make him in to some kind of sexy rock god, but it all went a bit tits up.
Misha looked like a cross between Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj. But she made it her own and I loved it, her voice is truly sensational.
Rhythmix were also a bit over styled, it seemed like the stylist was going for 'urban style' but left out the 'style'. There vocals weren't up to scratch either, I feel like they can do a lot better.
Janet Devlin looked lovely, I'm so glad she put on shoes (I hate feet with a passion) but I'm not sure whether I prefer her blonde or ginger. What do you think?
So we'll see who goes tonight from each category.

Dressing For The Weather

Blouse - Select, Skirt - H&M, Belt - H&M, Watch - Vintage

I've gone for a Spring look today, big florals and nudes. The skirt is one of my favourite items but I just don't wear it often enough. It makes me want to dance, just because it's so floaty, I feel like a ballerina when I spin around. Trust me, I was doing a lot of Pirouettes while I had this on.
I'm planning on spray bleaching my denim shorts tomorrow...wish me luck it's my first time so *fingers crossed* it goes well.

Hot Stuff

Jacket - My Mothers, Vest - H&M, Skirt - H&M, Bracelet - Topshop, Pearls - Vintage, Watch - Vintage

It was absolutely baking today! I had a lovely time sitting on my balcony and reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire again.
The jacket I'm wearing was hand made by my mother about 20 years ago or so and I love it!
I have very good news too..... I won the LFW competition :D I'm so so happy. I can't believe Gem Fatale and Me & Zena picked me!
So I've won: a Me & Zena Television necklace, Lazy Oaf Mouse Tee, Lime Crime lipstick in Retrofuturist, 10 Beauty UK Salon Professional Nail Polishes of my choice, and my picture will go on Gems blog!
I've never won anything like this before so I'm extremely happy right now.
I'll do a post when I receive my prizes, well done to everyone who entered your outfits were all amazing!

Indian Summer

Blouse - Asos, Skirt - H&M, Bracelets - Topshop, Watch - Vintage

Yesterday it was my sisters birthday so we all went round to her house and watched Attack The Block with some home cooked food :)
But today I'm just doing some errands, trolling on Tumblr, and lazying about.
I'm really excited for next week at the moment! It's going to be an Indian Summer in England :D
So I'm going to try and even up my tan, then since my hair is starting to grow back I'm going to try and lighten the side the natural way. By using LEMONS! It'll probably be difficult and long because I'll have to apply it and be in the sun all day. But I always try to be as natural as possible with my hair, it might not even work but I've got a lot of time on my hands to try it.

LFW Competition

Blouse - Select, Shorts - Topshop, Bracelets - Topshop, Watch - Vintage, Earrings - Primark, Blue Nail Varnish - Missguided, Pink Nail Varnish - MUA

Yesterday I entered the London Fashion Week competition being held by Gem Fatale and Me & Zena. All you had to do to enter was dress up as stylish as possible and send in a picture :D Gem even gave us a hit for extra brownie points to use a 'Tuesday Tip' from her blog. So I decided to do glitter nails, all you have to do is paint your nails and before they dry sprinkle some glitter on them! I love them!
I also put studs on my shorts (trying to add the creativity factor) It wasn't too difficult or expensive, I just found the cheapest pyramid studs on Ebay and put them on.
The winner will win a top from Lazy Oaf, 10 nail polish's from Beauty UK, a Me & Zena television necklace and a Lime Crime Lipstick. Then 5 runners up will win 2 Beauty UK nail polish's of their choice.
There are some great prizes and I just hope I do well! *fingers crossed*
The competition is fierce, check out the Me & Zena Facebook and take a look at the other outfits.

Shaved Head

I shaved the side of my head tonight and I was in so much shock afterwards that I couldn't do the other side! It feels nice when I touch it though, it's like a stubbly beard....but on my head.
What do you think of it? Mistake?
I'm going to try and pluck up the courage to make it even tomorrow....

Idea Time

Blouse - Select, Skirt - Select, Socks - Peacocks, Bracelet - Topshop, Watch - Vintage, Dr Martens

I went Ebay crazy this week and put lots of of my clothes up so I could clear out my wardrobe to make way for my Autumn/Winter clothes. I managed to sell two Leather skirts, some jeans, and a blazer! But I've still got a nice cropped leather jacket and a brand new fringed crop top for sale, here's the link if you want a look http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/kareenie25
But besides that, I'm trying to think of some business ideas so I don't have to go back to working in retail. I may start selling some of my photographs, or possibly some handmade jewellery. I've been making a lemon grass salt scrub for myself for a while now and it's really good, so maybe I could make a business out of that!

Burgundy

Crochet Dress, Knee High Socks - Peacocks, Dr Martens, Bag - ASOS, Fur Coat - ASOS, Bracelet - Topshop, Belt - Vintage, Watch - Vintage.

I know I've disappeared for a while, but it was so I could take a little break from blogging.
But now I'm back! I've forgotten how fun writing was! So I'm happy to be doing it again :)
This definitely my best buy from my holiday this summer, a crochet white mini dress from a little boutique in Barbados. They only had one in stock in each size so I was very lucky! It has a bit of a 60's feel to it which I love. Since it's getting colder now I'll have to team it with tights (I don't want to freeze). I'll try and find myself some burgundy tights. Burgundy is definitely my favourite colour for Autumn/Winter. Here are some of my favourite Burgundy picks:

Burgundy Chiffon Shirt - Topshop, Hooded Faux Fur Coat - Topshop, Skinny Utilty Jeans - Topshop, Dr MartensShoe Boots - Missguided, Burgundy Leather Satchel Bag - Miss Selfridge, Feather Earrings - Oasis, Lipstick - Topshop, Rimmel Nail Varnish.

Barbados ♥

So on the 30th June I boarded the Plane heading to sunny Barbados. The journey wasn't too bad but the plane was delayed by about an hour and a half because of the strikes that day. But to be honest I needed that time to get over the possibility of crashing into the Atlantic ocean half way through the flight. When my sister went through the metal detector thingy it went off and they couldn't find what it was.
: /
The most terrible thing about the flight was the fact that the sound on our TV's didn't work! I was OUTRAGED! But I kept it to my self and didn't complain even though I should have (I'm too English).
So I watched the Adjustment Bureau in silence, but it looked really good so I'm going to get it on DVD.
I bought a stack of magazines for the flight including Look and More magazine, it gave me a chance to circle my favourite high street bargains.
After 8 hours we touched down on the island after circling it for 10 minuets which was a nice but stomach churning treat.
My sister and I met our mum at the the Airport and she drove us to our Grandmas house (which is right across the road from the beach).

My Grandmas house is a nice Barbie pink which is a typical colour for most houses on the island. The law in Barbados is that if you leave your house unpainted you don't have to pay tax, so not everyone does paint them because of the benefits of not doing so.
Barbados is painted every colour of the rainbow, not just the houses but the shops too. There's a bar on every corner and they are all painted bright colours or have a drinks brand painted on the outside.
Everyone is really friendly too but the staff in every single shop I went into ignore you for about 5 minuets and do everything in slow motion. Even picking up a receipt to give back to took time! I was so shocked, the customer service in England is so much better and I never thought I would say that.

The best thing about Barbados is the beach of course, the sand is gorgeous the water is gorgeous and warm! I went swimming almost every day it was amazing, I wish I was back there now.
I ate a lot! One of the most popular dishes in Barbados is Macaroni Pie!? I didn't expect it either, and the KFC there serves Fish Zinger burgers, which is perfect as I don't eat meat. They should really do it here, it's lovely.
I had lots of Coconut water, Sugar Cane juice and Sour Sap juice too. If you ever go there you have to try all of these, they're delicious.
I wish I'd stayed longer so that I could go to the Crop Over festival so that I could see Rhianna perform :(
But I enjoyed my stay and I loved seeing my mum which was the important thing about the trip.

My mum got a lovely dog too, his name's Hell Boy :D
I bought a some dresses out there too I'll show them to you soon.
